Product Description
On the great bus ride of life - what were your favourite stops?
Having already bought two of our Personalised Destination Prints, one of our customers asked us to create something a bit different for her parents 25th wedding anniversary in a landscape format. This is what we designed for her.
These fabulous bespoke reproduction bus blind prints are totally unique to you. Tell the story of your life though your own destinations (up to 11). List your names, favourite holidays, places with special meaning, children's names, private jokes, where you fell in love, where you have lived - anything is possible. A fantastic piece of statement art and an amazing conversation starter.
Each print is individually created and emailed as a proof to you for your approval before printing. A giclee print is then created on archival enhanced matte paper and custom framed in a black wooden frame, teamed with black mount board, by local framers using FSC approved wood. Or if you'd prefer, you can have it shipped to you unframed in a protective cardboard tube!
A unique gift for loved ones, parents, grandparents and those big wedding anniversaries too!
If you love the idea as a gift, but are unsure of the words to use, why not choose the voucher option. We'll send you a smaller version of the 'voucher' print and an information sheet giving all the details of how to order your print when the destinations have been decided upon! You can buy a voucher for a framed or unframed print. Just select 'Yes' in the Gift voucher option, but do not list any destinations - it's all for your recipient to choose.
Dimensions: 26x51cm approx. as a framed print, or 21x47cm approx. as an unframed print.
Please note, unframed prints will be printed with a white border around them. This allows for easier and cleaner handling when unwrapping and when framing, which we highly recommend to preserve the quality of your print.
A quick history lesson!
AEC Limited, the company that made the iconic Routemaster buses, was born in Walthamstow - just like me! Before WWI, Frank Pick, the Chairman of London Underground, commissioned Edward Johnston to create a typeface that could be legibly read by all at some distance, to be used on the front of trains and throughout the underground. When London Transport was created, merging all buses, tubes and trains the Johnston font became synonymous with London.
So the original British designers of the bus blind were Pick and Johnston, nearly a century ago! The first folk to bring us personalised bus blinds were the utterly fabulous Print Dolls in Australia and we are proud (actually pleased as punch) to be the only ones to have their blessing to offer the same here in the UK. We hold true to their high standards.
When writing your chosen destinations on the order please separate the lines by using a hash symbol # so we know where each line should begin
