Cars Fine Art Print by Betsy Benn

Inspired by my sons love for toy cars and his urge to line them up, I spent a great deal of time with the camera and a multitude of lenses attempting to create the perfect print which reflects his obsession and mine. Cars is the result - a wonderful Technicolor homage to childhood. These are mostly my brothers cars, from the sixties (yes, Gary, you really are that old!), handed down to my nephew and then my son and added to with finds from markets and second hand shops.

Each one of these cars has a story, played with by many pairs of little hands over time and used as actors in the script of childhood. Some of these cars have only ever been jettisoned over dark deep canyons, some have only ever been get away cars and some were driven by General Custard when he landed on the moon having driven all night, stopping only to drop off the President whom he'd rescued from a burning building
